First Amendment

"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The first thing this amendment talks about the separation between the government and the church, talking about religious freedom, then it talks about the freedom of speech and press and finally it finally related to the political process.

The most important thing about this amendment is that it gives people freedom and liberty, which is allowing the United States to be a free country were people's thoughts should not limited, and it also lets people know that the government is an important piece and people should get involved in it and rely on it without fear.

For me, both speech and religious liberty are very important because I believe that in the 21st-century people should be free to decide, but to be honest I personally think that freedom of speech is more important. It allows people to express their thoughts and make decisions after everyone gives their opinion.

This video focuses on freedom of speech, which is the right of this amendment that I think is most important. This video is short, clear and the drawings in it make it easy to understand.

This is a funny comic vignette regarding the first amendment and the founding father and how they were free to write about whatever they wanted.
